Team focus week
Dale blocked the whole team's diary out as focus week, and the shop's booking page started pushing every customer to March 2029. His own diary was the only one left open.
The mistake
A calendar-blocking policy is applied as bulk busy events across the team's diaries, but the public booking widget derives availability from those same diaries rather than from a separate bookable-hours config. With every slot marked busy, the availability search runs forward until it finds the first open slot — years out — and offers that date as if it were normal. Dale's own diary was excluded from the block, so it becomes the only source of free slots, and the widget hands out unlimited concurrent bookings against it because there is no per-slot capacity limit or double-booking check.
