Forty-one out of forty-one
Russ was asked forty times a day whether to ship despite the failing checks, and always said yes, so he turned the question off. Everything has shipped ever since.
The mistake
Russ disables the pre-deploy check gate that asks for confirmation when tests fail, because he always clicks 'yes' anyway, so he treats it as pure friction. Removing the gate doesn't remove the failures it was catching — it just stops surfacing them before deploy, so every build ships unconditionally including ones with failing checks. The deployment count (41/41 shipped) keeps looking healthy even while the failures it should have blocked take the shop down.
